Q:
Why vote in the forthcoming General Election?
A: Upwards of
70% of the population reportedly were against the war on Iraq
prior to the hostilities.
When
we elect a Prime Minister we expect him or her to defend us,
we do not anticipate becoming aggressors by proxy. The misinformation
and apparent deception of Parliament allowed Blair's 'done deal'
with Bush to proceed unhindered and haven't we, the world and
most of all innocent Iraqis paid a devastating price since.
This General
Election is our one and only chance to attempt to right that
wrong. Every person that agrees with the phrase 'not in my name'
must vote against the present Blair Administration. A failure
to vote means collusion with, what many see as, Blair's illegal
and unjustified action. To not vote would mean wringing your
hands in the blood of the many thousands of innocent victims,
that this Administration does not even have the decency or respect
to count.
That is why
every one of us should vote, for abstention is tantamount to
pulling the trigger yourself.
You have the chance to say 'No' to Blair's war. Vote for the
parties of peace.'
